ASSVAP exists to promote the science of physiotherapy for animals, and to create an interface between Veterinary Surgeons and Veterinary Physiotherapists, for the transfer of information between veterinary professionals, leading to improvement of animal welfare across all species.
About ASSVAPMembership of ASSVAP is open to Veterinary Surgeons, Veterinary Nurses, Veterinary Physiotherapists and students of those subjects. Veterinary Physiotherapists will need to be the holder of a University accredited post-graduate qualification in a relevant subject and student Veterinary Physiotherapists will need to be registered on a University Accredited post-graduate course in Veterinary Physiotherapy.

Find out moreASSVAP is purely a scientific association to promote the scientific approach to animal welfare. It is a member of the Associate Parliamentary Group for Animal Welfare, and therefore has direct access to MPs, Government Ministers and Peers.
Membership gives access to the full website which includes book reviews, the latest scientific research, case studies, reduced rates for CPD courses, monthly e-newsletters and a bi-annual, on-line, peer reviewed Journal showcasing the scientific work that is currently being undertaken in the subject. Non-members can only access very limited information. Full membership is £100 p.a. and student membership is £50 p.a.
